Travis Penfield is the Founder and CEO of 49 Financial in Austin, Texas.

Travis leads one of the fastest growing groups of comprehensive financial planners in the United States. As CEO Travis’ time is spent equipping leaders to build the next generation of financial planners who will revolutionize the industry while still living out his passion through helping clients.

Travis believes that the financial industry has needed a major revolution for quite some time. Given that finance is one of the most important pieces of people’s lives, Travis believes that building lifelong relationships with people and providing financial guidance is one of the most needed and rewarding ways to live out one’s professional calling. This is why he founded 49 Financial and how he hopes to change the world through finance.

Travis is involved in various non-profits in the community and has brought that love of service to the culture of 49 Financial. In 2017, 49 Financial Impact day was founded—the firm closes for a day to give back to the community.

In 2018, under Travis’ leadership, 49 Financial made over $11 million in revenue and hired 285 advisors in that year. Also in 2018, 49 Financial launched their Dallas branch office, which ended the year with over 30 advisors. In 2019, the firm’s aspirations are to continue its exponential growth in expanding to more markets and staying true to its heartbeat of truly trying to better as many people as possible.

Travis attended Texas A&M University. He has been married to his wife, Jaclyn, since 2011 and they live in Austin, Texas with their dog, Duncan. In October of 2018 they welcomed their first child, daughter Charlotte “Charli” Sue Penfield. They enjoy international travel, playing golf, and cheering for the San Antonio Spurs.
