Austin New Leaders Academy Organized by AYC and YNPN 4th Session with Janet Morrison Director of Labor and Employee Relations at Dell
Date: September 21st
Time: 6:00-8:00 pm
Location: United Way for Greater Austin, 2000 East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd

This is the fourth session of a 12-part Workshop Series organized by AYC and YNPN.

Your career dreams and your passion; when those two combine, as they say, “it is not like working at all! But, how do you get that? Really, it is a combination of knowing who you are and what really makes you happy. On September 21st, “Leveling Up” will be the focus of our conversation. But, please be open to the idea that, leveling-up can be about you growing from where you currently are, making a change to a new industry or career focus, or, as commonly interpreted, climbing the career ladder to your next position. Your journey and our discussion will be based on the work of Stephen Covey as outlined in his book, Great Work, Great Career—The Complete Summary. In this book, he emphasizes that, “A great career does not rise from a need for outside affirmation, but from within you, from your own curiosity, from your own unique mix of talents and passion. It also rises from your conscience — from the whispers deep inside that point you to what you should do.”

Janet Morrison, an HR professional for 20+ years will take you through our discussion about “Leveling-Up”. The goal is for an interactive session that is solely focused on you.
