How did you get to Austin?
I went to college not too far from here, at Southwestern University in Georgetown to play volleyball, and fell in love with Austin so decided to stay once I graduated!
Why did you join the AYC?
I was a student member in college for a short while when AYC first started in 2009 and loved the group of people and the ideas of AYC. When I started full time with Kennedy, I knew this would be a great fit as young professional to build relationships, both professionally and personally.
What is your favorite lunch spot?
My favorite lunch spot would definitely be Leaf. AMAZING salad spot on 2nd street.
If you could have any super power, what would it be and what would you use it for?
I would want the power to time travel! I would love to spend more time with my grandma who passed away when I was younger. And who wouldn’t want to see their future self?

It’s a reality check. It would help me stay focused on doing the best I can with what I have now because you’re shaping your future every minute, every day.

If you could have any celebrity live next door to you, who would it be?
Peyton Manning. Have you seen his commercials? Funny guy. No but really, best quarterback ever and an impressive leader in his career. I feel like I could learn a lot from him. I would bake cookies or brownies in return, you know the neighborly duties.

What are your top 3 things to do/see in Austin?

1. Paddle boarding on Town Lake in the summer, followed by a snow cone
2. Zilker Park- there is so much room for activities!
3. Rainey Street

If you played hooky for a day, where would we find you?
Taking a nap! I love naps. Sleep is hard to come by in the event planner world!

When people ask you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
I am an event planner in Austin for a crazy talented destination management company full of amazing people who support me every day. I love what I do!

What do you think is the best invention in the past 50 years?
GPS. Although I have a wonderful sense of direction (you can ask anyone, promise) it’s pretty amazing how GPS works and the places you can go! It saves time and that’s huge in my book.

Who was your first Facebook friend?
I asked google and no luck!

If you couldn’t live in Austin, where would you want to live?
Australia!
