1. How did you get to Austin?
Well I just gotta go with thanks mom and dad on that one. I was born and raised here in Austin and am thankful for their decision to call this place home everyday. I love this city and it has greatly influenced how I approach life.

2. Why did you join the AYC?
I became a part of team AYC while working on the FAVE awards. I’m inspired by this driven, smart, and innovative community of young professionals and grateful for the opportunity to get to interact with and learn from them at AYC meetings and events et al.

3. What is your favorite lunch spot?
This varies greatly depending on the day of the week and if we’re talking lunch or **brunch** but for weekday lunch runs I’m a big fan of Thundercloud, Whole Foods, Galaxy Cafe, Juiceland, Torchy’s.. really depends on what part of town I’m in that day and how much time we have!

4. If you could have any super power, what would it be and what would you use it for?
I’m not sure this is a super power but I’d like to have a stronger memory, like being able to remember the real small details without hesitation or never having to ask someone to tell me their name again.

5. If you could have any celebrity live next door to you, who would it be?
I’m gonna go with Jim Gaffigan or Oprah. I realize those are two totally different ends of the spectrum, but they represent two things I love. Gaffigan is funny beyond words and I can’t begin to imagine the hilarity that would ensue with him as a neighbor. Oprah is a constant source of inspiration and there is so much I would like to ask her.. maybe I could manage to sneak in a few questions on a neighborhood stroll one day.

6. What are your top 3 things to do/see in Austin?
Top 3? That’s hard… more like top 30, theres too much awesome stuff to do here! One thing I love is spending the day on South Congress– peruse Feathers or New Bohemia for some vintage shopping, then spend the afternoon sitting on the patio at Hotel San Jose followed by walking across the street for some tunes at the Continental Club or the Gallery.. that’s three things on one street, does that count? 🙂

7. If you played hooky for a day, where would we find you?
Flying solo at Violet Crown Cinema or Alamo Drafthouse with a large popcorn and free flowing prosecco. Solo cinema is my jam.

8. When people ask you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
I say I talk to people for a living and try to share the joy of Austin, Texas with others. I host, emcee, act, report.. I want to be a force for good through shared conversations of culture and substance. I’m fortunate to say just by getting the chance to pursue that goal every day, I live my dream life.

9. What do you think is the best invention in the past 50 years?
Think I’ll go with a super original answer… the internet.

10. Who was your first Facebook friend?
Probs my best friend Larkin, but who knows.

11. If you couldn’t live in Austin, where would you want to live?
New York City or Los Angeles. I love the energy of big cities and New York is one of my favorite places to be outside of Austin.
