- What brought you to Austin and how long have you been here?
I moved to Austin 4 years ago on a whim. I filled up my car and moved to Austin without a job or any prospects. I needed a fresh start and surely enough Austin became my new home! I started my company, Avent Productions here, I have a house here and no looking of moving in the near future! - How did you get connected to AYC?
I looked into AYC when I first moved to Austin, trying to meet new people and get involved in the city. Since I had moved here living on my savings and starting a business there was no room for membership fees, lol. A year ago I officially joined AYC and got involved in almost every way you can. - What are you involved with in AYC AND what is your favorite part of AYC?
I am actively involved with the Ambassadors and Economic Development Committees. I serve on many more but those are the areas I feel like I make an impact on. My favorite part of AYC is to be able to help the organization and other members connect with people who they can help and people who can help them. We are a network of young professionals who can help each other grow and advance in this rapidly growing city. - Where can we find you brunching in Austin on any given Saturday?
I am a Sunday brunch gal! Question is, am I going for the food or the mimosas? - If you could have any superpower, what would it be and what would you use it for?
I would love to be able to Teleport. I love to travel and experience new places and cultures and to be able to see the world quicker would be absolutely amazing! - If you could have any celebrity live next door to you, who would it be?
I don’t think I can pick one, but Emma Stone or Idina Menzel! I love Broadway and musicals so I need people in my life I can belt one out with! - If you had guests visiting Austin for the weekend, where is the first place you would take them to show them a good time?
I would make sure I take them out on Lady Bird Lake and paddle board along the Austin skyline and then of course finish off on Dirty 6! - If you played hooky for a day, where would we find you and what would you be doing?
Any body of water I can be in! I am a fish! Pool, river, lake, if I can go swimming I’m there! - When people ask you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
I say I am an Event Planner, but really I am a Producer of Happiness. I like to make people feel good and I want them to have a good time. I strive to make every event I plan a memorable one for all who attend! - What technology could you not live without?
I always thought it was my phone, but I recently learned I can’t live without my laptop. It is the device that keeps my world going round!! - Who inspires you?
My parents. As a first generation American-Indian I know the life they lived to get me here today. I can’t imagine making all the sacrifices they made for me to be able to stand on my own two feet with the privileges I live with today. - What is your proudest accomplishment?
My proudest accomplishment is honestly moving to Austin. I moved to a new city that I had never been before, without a job, with out knowing anyone and I think I’m doing pretty good for myself…for now! - If you couldn’t live in Austin, where would you want to live?
I would move back to Spain. I lived in Bilbao a long time ago and fell in love with the Basque culture and etiquette. Living abroad was hard when you are so far from family. - I want to learn how to…?
Dance! I want to learn all types of ballroom dancing! Salsa, Bachata, Tango, Fox Trot, you name It and I want to learn it! - Pick:
