On July 23rd, the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce will be helping support the American Cancer Society at Urban Betty Salon. Hair loss is a common side effect to cancer treatment. Did you know that it takes about 8-12 ponytails to make a full wig? If you’ve been thinking about cutting off some length (must be at least 8 inches), then get on down there from 10a-2p and donate your hair to a great cause!

Tara Gray, Community Development Manager of American Cancer Society, and Catalina Berry, Leadership Service Committee of AYC, stopped by Local Insights to invite you out to the Beautiful Lengths Hair Drive, July 23, at Urban Betty Salon. Even if you don’t have long enough hair, or hair at all, you can still enjoy some food, drink, misters, and corn hole while you hang out and help support the event. Spread the word!
