2017 AYC Nonprofit Fair Application

Deadline: May 5 at midnight

A core goal of the Austin Young Chamber (AYC) is to engage tomorrow’s leaders to give back through volunteerism. Apply to be part of our annual AYC Nonprofit Fair to let our members know about your mission and how they can become involved!

The 2017 AYC Nonprofit Fair will take place on Wednesday, May 31 from 5:30-8:00 PM at Umbel’s office in Seaholm Power Plant at 800 W Cesar Chavez St B101, Austin, TX 78701. Booth space is limited and preference will be given to organizations who have a focus on engaging young professionals.

The BIG Giver Award Application

Deadline: May 17

Each year I Live Here I Give Here selects one BIG Giver, who has given their time, talent, expertise, and funds to one of our partner organizations. A BIG Giver is an advocate for their chosen organization; who has created a long-lasting and personal impact on the community. This year, the honoree of The Patsy Woods Martin BIG Giver Award will be celebrated at I Live Here, I Give Here’s 10th Anniversary celebration of The BIG Give.

If your nominee is selected, your organization will be featured in all print publications for The BIG Give including our invitation. You will receive two tickets to the event and your organization will have a major presence in all our social media coverage of the event.

Advance Austin

We’re excited to announce the launch of Advance Austin, a new course curated by Glasshouse Policy and Leadership Austin.

The Advance Austin program will help you engage with the political and policy making process at all levels of government. Whether it’s learning how to serve on a board or commission for the first time, staffing an elected official, effectively advocating your priorities, or running for office yourself, the Advance Austin program will equip you with the tools to substantively engage with others to influence the public policy of the future.

The Advance Austin program is a nonpartisan course designed to teach you essential skills for being successful in the political world. We welcome members of all political stripes to respectfully contemplate, debate, and learn critical engagement skills so you can make change for your community.

WeWork Creator Awards

The Creator Awards are a new global initiative to recognize and reward creators. It’s a live experience that unites our team, our members, creators and partners as well as an opportunity to win $20M of financial awards.

The Creator Awards are open to members and non-members. We will honor creators around the world, starting with regional events in the US, Mexico, Europe and Israel.

Each one of us is part of the team making it happen. We are ambassadors of the We Generation and of The Creator Awards. You’re invited to nominate members or others in your community, and to spread the word (#creatorawards) if you’re feeling inspired.

Members and other creators can apply online starting today. Our events kicked off with the first regional finals in D.C. on March 28th.

It is an incredible privilege to be able to give back to the communities we serve in this way and 2017 is just the beginning. The Creator Awards will continue to grow and reach even more markets in the future.

Greater Austin Business Awards

The Greater Austin Business Awards is a competition organized by the Austin Chamber of Commerce to honor excellence in business in the Greater Austin region. The Awards recognize businesses and organizations for achievements, community contributions and milestones. It is one of the largest business award events in Central Texas bringing together about 1,000 business leaders, entrepreneurs, organizations, government officials and regional chambers!
