How did you get to Austin?
Originally from Michigan, I had been living in NYC for 4+ years and was just really sick of the “Big City Life” so my good friend and I just decided to move to Austin on a whim in November of 2009 and we’ve loved the ATX ever since!!

(My friend actually decided to quit the corporate life and start www.whatjewwannaeat.com), check it out!

Why did you join the AYC?
One of my colleagues had joined and it always seemed like she met so many great people and I didn’t want to miss out on that opportunity.  You can’t beat the networking, every event that they have is so much fun that you forget that you aren’t just hanging out with a bunch of your friends.  It’s a great way to get involved with up and coming Austin leaders and to get involved with community events that you’re passionate about…and in the end it ended up being a great place to meet new friends.

What is your favorite lunch spot?
It used to be Bangers but they sadly no longer have lunch so I’ll go with La Condesa.

If you could have any super power, what would it be and what would you use it for?
Without a doubt the ability to Teleport, it would really streamline things.  I’d use it to visit friends and family that live out of state and to travel as often as possible…

If you could have any celebrity live next door to you, who would it be?
This was really tricky because there are so many, but I think I’m going with Blake Shelton.  This means I would also live next to Miranda Lambert.  Those two seem like they’re pretty friendly and know how to have a good time.

What are your top 3 things to do/see in Austin?
Blues on the Green, Boating on Lake Travis, Town Lake Trail

If you played hooky for a day, where would we find you?
Running Town Lake, getting an Iced Turbo at Joe’s while wandering SoCo, taking my dog to the park followed by afternoon queso and margaritas or drinks at the pool.

When people ask you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
I help manage events for Keller Williams.  It either stops right there or if they have ten minutes to spare I’ll go into further detail.

What do you think is the best invention in the past 50 years?
The Margarita Machine.

Who was your first Facebook friend?
Tom?  Oh wait that was My Space…

If you couldn’t live in Austin, where would you want to live?
Somewhere in Colorado.
