1. How did you get to Austin?
I actually attended St. Edward’s University my first year of college. I transferred out and after completing my degree at Arizona State, I was propositioned (not really, I happily moved) to come back to Austin. Family had a strong influence but you did not have to twist my arm to come back to this great city!

2. Why did you join the AYC?
The friendly young professionals I met during a new member coffee networking event sparked my interest. I wanted to get more involved and connected to young professionals like myself. This has been the perfect solution.

3. What is your favorite lunch spot?
Big fan of Pho ThaiSon off of W. Anderson Ln. Aside from that, Polvos, Homeslice, Whole Foods, Verts, and Chipotle are frequent favorites.

4. If you could have any super power, what would it be and what would you use it for?
Obvious answer would be flight, right? I’ll pass on that one. I’m a big fan of True Blood, so I would want the power to glamour. Think what you want but sometimes it would be easier to end an argument with a quick glamouring. Without taking advantage of it, you could eliminate much of the resentment that builds and eventually leads to…War?

5. If you could have any celebrity live next door to you, who would it be?
Damon or Keenen Ivory Wayans. Could you imagine being invited to that family reunion? I love to laugh and that would be a nonstop laughing fest.

6. What are your top 3 things to do/see in Austin?
I have to do something that is competitive, even if it’s with myself. So, 5k runs, soccer, volleyball leagues help fill that void. I enjoy listening to live music at one of the million venues in the city. Then lastly, relish in the variety of food and drink this city is developing with close friends. Great establishments are popping up all over this city.

7. If you played hooky for a day, where would we find you?
Leading a parade down Congress! Start off with a little Danke Schoen and then finish off with some Twist and Shout.

8. When people ask you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
I work for the best financial planning firm in Austin. We show our clients how to achieve their full financial potential and move toward an improved level of financial balance. Our approach challenges the status quo of traditional planning and avoids the more tactical decisions often made. Rather we encourage strategic and interdependent decisions when handling our income.

9. What do you think is the best invention in the past 50 years?
Internet. Hard to argue this one. Maybe caller-id but I think the internet trumps that one.

10. Who was your first Facebook friend?
I couldn’t tell you. I do not recall.

11. If you couldn’t live in Austin, where would you want to live?
San Diego, Seattle or New York. I’m not traveled enough as I would like to be but these are places in the U.S. I would definitely consider.
