Jerry Davis

President & CEO, Goodwill Central Texas

Davis became President and CEO of Goodwill Central Texas (GCT) in 1998. Prior to joining Goodwill, Davis’ career began as an occupational therapist at St. Charles Hospital, in Toledo, Ohio. Over the next twelve years, he served as Vice President, Assistant Professor, CARF Accreditation Surveyor and Consultant in several medical centers. Davis began his career with Goodwill in 1993 as the President in Sandusky, Ohio. He has served as the Chair of Goodwill Industries International’s (GII) Board of Directors (2005-2006) and chaired the Goodwill Conference of Executives, GII Strategic Planning Committee, GII Going Green Committee, the Texas Association and the Southwest Associations of Goodwill. Currently, Davis is a current board member of Austin Chamber of Commerce, I Live Here, I Give Here, Workability International-Americas Group, and Board Chair of University Federal Credit Union.

Davis received the Ernst & Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2010, the Matthews Entrepreneurial Award in 2011, the PJ Trevethan Award in 2012, and most recently the Kenneth K. King Award, the most prestigious award a CEO can receive, from Goodwill Industries International.

Davis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (Ohio State University) and a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Services Administration (DePaul University). He is a Rotarian and is active in community affairs, local boards and his church. He and his wife Theresa, and their two grown children enjoy soccer, travel, reading and gardening.
