Deep Nasta

Local Real Estate Investor and Entrepreneur

Deep Nasta is a local real estate investor and entrepreneur who grew up in Austin and fondly remembers it’s days as a sleepy little town. Since childhood, Deep has been involved in his community starting with helping to build the Sunshine Community Gardens as his Eagle Scout project. After graduating from Baylor, Deep returned to Austin and joined the board of the Young Men’s Business League. This led to many other board and chair positions including the Symphony Bats, the Ballet and Austin Under 40. Deep chaired Au40 twice and he was also the first real estate broker to win the award. Deep is also an Ambassador for The Miracle Foundation, going with them to India to visit their newest orphanage. Most recently, Deep has been an Executive Board Member with Pratham.org, a US charity that educates and cares for children in India for only $25 a child.

Deep spent most of 2015 working on the documentary 10 Won.

10 Won is about the historic change in Austin from at large elections to district representation. For the first time in a century, in Austin, 78 people hit the campaign trail in an election this city has never seen before and never will again. Deep’s documentary captured it all…from the so called invisible man to sibling rivalry to a recount lawsuit. Politics, Austin-style, really does Keep It Weird. Everyone from Mayor Adler to The Austin Chronicle has called is a historic and entertaining film that’s a must see for anyone who wishes to truly understand our great city. Deep was the Executive Producer of the film but also worked on everything from editing to holding the boom microphone for the past year.

Deep decides his community involvement based on where he can make the most difference. Only time will tell what his next exciting project will be.
