Join the AYC in our partnership with SXSW Eco for the second annual SXSW Eco conference, a three-day event acknowledging the need for a concerted, cross sector approach to solving the recognized challenges facing the economy, the environment and civil society. SXSW Eco will feature sessions from experts in the public, private, and academic sectors committed to finding solutions for a sustainable world. This year, SXSW Eco will be held October 3-5, 2012 at the AT&T Conference Center in Austin, Texas.Part of the full 3 day conference is the SXSW Eco Startup Showcase, which is now open for submissions! Presented by the Austin Technology Incubator and Austin Energy, this one-day venture capital tournament will exhibit the best of clean tech startups from around the world. Fifteen semifinalists offering the most innovative and potentially disruptive technologies will be selected to compete before a live audience and a panel of judges during the second day of the SXSW Eco conference, October 4, 2012.
This inaugural competition is open to all clean tech startups that have not raised over five million dollars from combined funding sources and are still owned at least in part by the original founder. The deadline to apply to the SXSW Eco Startup Showcase if July 13.
