Matt Glazer - Executive Director

Matt Glazer is the Executive Director for the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce. Matt serves as the chief executor for the overall vision and direction of the AYC.

Matt is a Texas native who has successfully launched two companies and a statewide non-profit in Texas. He is well known as a communication and public relations expert winning  the Austin American Statesman’s social media award in 2009 and the Austin Chronicle’s “Best of…”award. In late 2010, Glazer became the inaugural Executive Director of Progress Texas and the Texas Research Institute. He helped launch the organization and when he left, it had nearly 50,000 members within 90% of the counties of Texas and a staff of seven.

In addition to launching companies and a non-profit, Glazer has worked for local and national groups including — the American Heart Association, Weird Homes Tour, Texas Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, KTBC Fox 7 Austin, and dozens of political candidates and causes across the country.

Glazer joined the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, first as a member in 2012, and then as the Executive Director in 2014.

Matt is responsible for the general growth and branding of the organization as well as the management of everyday operations. He oversees all AYC events, committees and staff. He is a runner, cinephile, and loves all things muppet.

Katherine Randow - Director of Development and Member Relations

Katherine Randow is a longtime Austinite and non-profit management professional. She received a Masters in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis after graduating from UT Austin and has spent the last seven years in development at the Center for Child Protection.

Her experience includes individual, corporate, and foundation fundraising, marketing, grants, and major events including Dancing with the Stars Austin. As the Director of Development, Katherine is excited to work with staff, board, committees, sponsors, and members to help make Austin Young Chamber an essential part of developing Austin’s emerging young leaders.

Lane Strickland – Program and Events Coordinator

Lane Strickland joined the team in June 2015. She provides support to our committees and ensures every program is a success. Lane is a graduate of The University of Alabama, where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Meetings Management. 

After graduation, Lane launched her career in Austin, where she began her specialization in hospitality sales and event management as a Sales & Catering Manager for a local restaurant. After four years of living in Austin and working within the hospitality industry, Lane decided to join the U.S Peace Corps to pursue her dream of living overseas and helping others.

There, she worked in a remote village in South Africa as an HIV/AIDS Outreach Coordinator. After 27 months of service, Lane is now back in Austin continuing to pursue her passion of non-profit work and hospitality. On her time off, Lane enjoys time with her dog, Zazu, around Town Lake, participating in food and wine tastings and taking advantage of the music scene Austin has to offer.
